Yet another little Chorlton eatery and drinkery which is always full of yummy mummies and trendy Chorltonites who are inexplicably able to afford to spend all day in cafes despite the fact they appear to have no regular means of income.

Although the food menu is not particularly extensive, they serve several sandwiches including plenty of veggie options and a bacon and egg ciabatta sandwich at the weekends. At £4.15 for a tuna toastie this is somewhere I've never eaten but I can vouch for the delicious juices and smoothies and the comfy interior of this café. The ginger spice juice is delicious and if you're suffering the effects of the night before then you can order a 'detoxifier'. As James states there is also a community notice board to tempt you with all manner of yoga, pilates and Buddhist meditation classes which I'm sure will work wonders alongside your detoxifier. All very Chorlton.

Popped in on a spur of the moment need a snack attack with my sister and mum.

I ordered a cream cheese and gherkins bagel off the menu and asked for sun-dried tomatoes aswell. My bagel was absolutely lovely, on the side was a side salad :-) with a balsamic drizzle.

Although my food was lovely, my mum and sister had no complaints there either I would say the place does need a good clean throughout.
The cushions were a bit dirty and the tables need a quick wipe.

This place also  does milkshakes, flavoured hot chocolate and lots of super fruit drinks, but I would advise not to drink too much as there is no bathroom.

This place is pretty rough around the edges but has its own charm and a decent selection of food and drinks.

I opted to go here because I knew they did fresh juices and I was in need of some vitamins and minerals, preferably in a tasty drinkable form.

Between two of us we ordered an orange juice, a ginger spice juice, a bacon sausage and egg sandwich and a smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel. This came to £13 so it's not exactly cheap.

Then we waited. And waited. The juices turned up fairly swiftly but the food took far longer than it ought to have done. The juices were lovely though.

My bagel when it eventually arrived was delicious. Loads of cream cheese and fresh tasty salmon on top of a soft chewy bagel. My dining companion enjoyed his breakfast ciabatta.

Overall I thought this was a nice place and I'd be happy to head back. I'm particularly intrigued by their hot juices.

It really is amazing what a simple notice board will do for your business.
Battery Park's notice board is close to pulling down the support wall upon which it hangs due to the amount of support it is showing for local businesses.
That little notice board warmed my cold cold heart, making me feel like I was back living in a time when community spirit still existed.
On the strength of this notice board alone I'm awarding the Battery Park Juice Bar five stars and supporting it for next years Nobel Peace Prize- hey, if Obama can win it for nothing more heroic than simply not being George Bush then who knows?!
In fact, I might make my own case next year on the grounds that I haven't been nasty to my little sister in ages and I'm not called Adolf.

I never went to this place when I actually lived in Chorlton but now that I've moved down the road and am currently off the booze (for health reasons), Battery Park seemed like a good place to go.
And they do more than just juice, there's a good selection of teas and coffee, as well as sandwiches, salads and cakes, and at pretty decent prices compared to other cafés in Chorlton.
It's slightly oddly shaped, having to go up a steep staircase to order your food, but they will bring it to your table. There's even some tables outside, for those rare days when it's actually dry and warm enough to eat out there.
Tis nothing too fancy but it's a nice little place to go for a brew and a cake and a chat, give it a try
